The SCP recently announced Assurance System helps businesses and organizations in the coconut supply chain verify their responsible sourcing and production practices at a B2B, business to business, level.
The SCP was founded by FMCG majors including Barry Callebaut, Nestle, Unilever, Ferrero and AAK and aims to establish best practice and harmonise industry requirements for the large coconut supply chain actors.
The SCP advises that the key benefits of using their new assurance system are to demonstrate responsible sourcing commitments to buyers and support companies in making verified claims relevant to their efforts towards a responsible coconut sector.
