Coconut Knowledge Center (CKC) curator Haigan Murray has recently completed collaboration agreements with Indonesia’s largest credit union cooperative KSP Kopdit Pintu Air.

The scope of the relationship between CKC and Pintu Air is structured as a joint venture, aimed at improving the livelihoods of coconut farmer members over a long-term multi-project platform.

Pintu Air was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Maumere, Flores Island, Indonesia.

Coconut Knowledge Center was founded in 2014 to innovate and improve smallholder coconut performance.

Pintu Air Highlights

  • 370,000 members.
  • 230,000 smallholder farmer members.
  • 150,000 coconut farmer households representing around 400,000 hectares.
  • 2050 ambition is 1 million smallholder farmer members throughout Indonesia.
